Juridical Psychology

Juridical Psychology is a new area of application of the psychology, specially in Chile.
It is very interesting because it connects the psychology knowledge with the juridical system. Is a growing-up disclipine that everyday is getting more important at the time to establish the juridical sentences, because the psychologists can be very helpfull to the judges.

Up to now I have learned a litlle bit about it, because this discipline is very complex and it needs a lot of time and professional development to get really involved in it.

But anyway, I have discovered a new way to get closer to the juridical system, specially to the criminal issues. Also, I learned the importance of interdisciplinary work between the psychology and other sciences.

I would like to help through the juridical psychology to the social reinsertion of people who are in jail, working in different reinsertion programs.

My last Weekend

My last weekend was very entertaining and I did a lot of things.



First of all, on Saturday, I started training judo in the morning and then I went, with my judo-partners, to have some lunch. Afer that, in the afternoon, I went with other friends to a concert. The band that was playing, was Los Muertos de Cristo, one of my favorites. That was the last concert of the spanish band in 20 years of being playing. So, you can now imagine how motivated I was that day.





At last, in the night I went to a party on a friend´s house, but I was so tired at that hour that I went to sleep very early (at 2 a.m.)








My Sunday was quite diferent. I passed the day with Dani. We cooked chinese food and saw some films together. It was much more quiet than on Saturday. I mean more quiet because I had a lot of fun with she, but in a diferent way than on Saturday.

A good song: The American Jesus (Bad Religion)

Hi again,

Today i´m going to present you a song, that I like very much. I find, that the lyrics and also the melody of the song are both great, so I learned to play it on the bass. The name of the song is "American Jesus", from the band Bad Religion.

Bad Religion is a north american punk-rock band, formed in 1980, who´s only constant member has been Greg Graffin (the vocals).

In a very ironic way, the lyrics of "American Jesus" tell us about a world that is governed by a new faith, which is the nationality of the United States and its hypocritical policy. That world is supossed to be the world we are living nowadays.
This song contains therefore a social critique and that´s why I have chosen it:

Me and my Blog

Hi,

Welcome to my new blog!
My name is Juan Williams and here you will learn a little about my life. First of all I need to say that I`m a psychologist student who is also studing a English subject this semester.
Because an activity of that English subject is that I needed to create this blog and write about myself. So, let`s start.

I`m twenty-one years old, I live in Santiago of Chile, particulary in La Florida and I am in my fourth year of University. My family is composed of four persons: my father, my mother, my sister and me; also I have a very nice girlfriend, who`s name is Daniela.
Some of my interests are the sports, the politics, the food and traveling.
